Popular South Australian Jazz musicians will entertain you through the day as you relax and enjoy a glass of local wine accompanied by some great regional food – the music will get the feet tapping! Come along, enjoy and experience the country hospitality of this annual event. The children will have a great time in the playground. Burra Antique and Collectables Fair 2010

The beautifully refurbished historic Burra Town Hall and the school gymnasium will be filled with antiques and collectables for sale for the 19th annual fair. An official opening will take place at the town hall on Saturday 1 May at 10.30am by ABC Radio personality Mr Peter Goers. You will also find seven antique shops in Burra and a free shuttle bus will run between the venues and shops. Refreshments will be available at both the Town Hall and School Gymnasium. You will also be able to get your antiques appraised over both days. All items are for sale and there will be plenty of bargains, entertainment, antique appraisals (AUD5.00 up to three items), cider tastings and sales and live bands.

Marrabel Rodeo

The Marrabel Rodeo is South Australia's premier rodeo with the country's best competitors vying for top prize money. The day promises plenty of action with bull riding, buckjumping, steer wrestling, barrel racing and junior events commencing at 8.30am. The rodeo is organised entirely by volunteers with local community and sporting clubs and groups benefiting from the proceeds since its inception in 1935. The Rodeo is a great family day out with a country show atmosphere. Free weekend camping, full bar and catering, sideshows and live band ‘Diamond Back’ will entertain the crowd at the conclusion of the event until late. A recovery breakfast is available on the Labour Day public holiday Monday. Marrabel is half way between the Barossa Valley and Clare Valley, just 15 minutes north of Kapunda.
